Victorian Nephritic Jade Lucky Kidney Bean Charm albert chain and it's picked up aDATE: Victorian, c. 1890 Remarkable little lucky bean pendant carved from a single piece of nephrite jade. The stone takes its name from the Greek lapis nephriticus (literally "kidney stone") and was, accordingly, once believed to be a cure for (you guessed it) kidney stones.
