Vintage Antinous Silver Cameo Ring Size:11 A weird Georgian locket setDATE: Vintage, c. 1970 A cool vintage cameo ring depicting Antinous, the Roman Emperor Hadrian's lover, in high relief over an oval background. It's French, dating from the 1970s, crafted in silver. Hadrian was introduced to Antinous in 123 AD and became instantly besotted on account of his angelic beauty. Antinous accompanied Hadrian during his attendance of the annual Eleusinian Mysteries in Athens, and was with him when he killed the Marousian lion
