Hovmand Olsen began his career with an apprenticeship as a carpenter at P. Olsen Sibast and shaped Danish furniture design with clear, functional forms. The ceramic plates embedded in the table top are striking, heat resistant and practical as a base for hot items. The coffee table shows slight signs of wear, which is consistent with its good vintage
